Frenship Middle School 

 

Frenship Middle School is a public school located in Wolfforth, Texas, and is home to 500 students in grades six through eight. Frenship Middle School is part of Frenship Independent School District, which serves 54,000 students across the Amarillo area. Frenship Middle School uses six educational philosophies and 20 different instructional strategies in its curriculum, and each grade level focuses on a particular concept. The school’s academic focus for the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade are Literacy, Technology, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Fine Arts.

In the fall of 1996, Frenship ISD opened the doors of what would eventually become a state-of-the-art school with a capacity of 2,200 students. The school was built on a 22-acre plot of land located just southwest of the Frenship High School campus. It was the first middle school for the district, and it was named aftFrenship Middle School in Wolfforth, Texas is an average sized middle school that serves approximately 1,300 students in grades six through eight. Frenship Middle School has approximately 130 faculty members, including 1 principal and 1 assistant principal.

It is named after a man named Henry Philemon Frenship Jr. Mr. Frenship, who was born in 1826, was a member of the Texas State Legislature in the 1860s. He represented the 21st District, an area that was later divided into the 10th and 27th Districts. Mr. Frenship was born in La Grange, Tennessee. His family moved to Texas in 1837. He left his home state at 19 years of age and traveled to Austin, Texas. Mr. Frenship taught school in La Grange and in 1849, he moved to Austin, Texas to teach school. He taught school in Austin and at Lampasas.

Frenship Middle School is a school that was built in 1990 and is located in a suburb of Lubbock, Texas. Frenship Middle School is part of the Frenship ISD. It was named after the famous Texas Ranger, John S. “Rip” Ford. The school has a weight room and a football field, as well as a very large cafeteria and library. The school also has a large auditorium that is used for many things. It is also used for several after-school activities such as band practice and choir practice.

The Kindergarten through 6th grade school is approximately two miles from the center of the city of Frenship. The school supports approximately 235 students and employs about 36 faculty members. Frenship Middle Schools offers a special education program for students with special needs, a certified English as a second language program, and a highly successful Gifted and Talented Program. The building has a library which is open during the school day, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, a multi-purpose room, 28 classrooms, four computer labs, and a media center. Each classroom has a minimum of 20 computers. The school also has a full range of athletic facilities including a track, football field, softball field, baseball field, tennis courts and a multi-purpose.

It is a common belief that middle school is the hardest year of school. There are so many things that happen in middle school. Frenship Middle School is one of the greatest things that have happened to me. FMMS has helped me be the person I am today. Here are some of the things I have done in FMMS.
